The Problem

Client applications were deployed manually — SSH sessions, hand-edited configs, and no rollback story. Every release was risky and slow.

The Solution

Standardized cloud deployment pipelines: containerized apps, GitHub Actions CI/CD, infrastructure documented as code, and zero-downtime releases behind Nginx.

Key Features

  • CI/CD pipelines with automated tests and staged rollouts
  • Dockerized services with health checks
  • S3 + CloudFront static hosting patterns
  • Monitoring and alerting baselines

Architecture

GitHub Actions builds and pushes images, deploys to EC2/ECS or Azure App Service, with Nginx reverse proxies and SSL automation. Secrets managed via platform vaults.

Results

Release time dropped from hours to minutes; rollbacks became a one-click operation.

Timeline

Lessons Learned

  • · Boring, repeatable deployments are a feature clients feel immediately.

Future Improvements

  • · Terraform modules for repeatable client infrastructure
